We are grateful to again be acknowledged and valued as part of WA’s performing arts community, and thank our artists, audiences and supporters for their unwavering commitment to the company.

Beanstalk, written and performed by the talented Sam Longley, and directed by SPPT Artistic Director Philip Mitchell, premiered in January 2021 and kickstarted what was an enormously successful year as SPPT celebrated its 40th year. A retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk – told from the giant’s perspective – the show delighted audiences with its whimsical set, creative puppetry, bouncy score and a stellar solo performance.

The One Who Planted Trees, SPPT’s first ever musical production, was an immediate hit with audiences portraying the magic of life on earth via puppetry, song, digital animation, and story to deliver a heart-warming tale of hope and persistence. Created by a phenomenal team including Nick Pages-Oliver & Amberly Cull (writers), Rebecca Bradley (co-creator), Phillip Mitchell (director), Leon Hendroff (designer), and Melanie Robinson & Carmel Dean (songs & musical arrangement) – this now award-winning show will be touring state-wide and nationally in 2024.
