The Bugalugs Bum Thief

Adapted from the book by Tim Winton

Skeeta Anderson woke up one morning to find that something was missing, something he never thought could go missing. His bottom!

But it wasn’t just Skeeta’s bum that had disappeared – the whole town were missing their backsides!

496 bottoms is a lot of bottoms to vanish without a trace and now it’s up to Skeeta to catch the thief and return the bums to their rightful owners.

Extraordinary puppetry brings to life this classically silly story, based on the popular children’s book by Tim Winton.

Dust off your detective cap and follow Skeeta as he ‘gets to the bottom’ of this hilarious mystery.

The Bugalugs Bum Thief is a wonderfully silly story from one of Western Australia’s most loved writers – Tim Winton. In 1997 the book won the Young Australian Best Book Award (YABBA), testament to Winton’s delightful storytelling.
