Hachiko touring regional schools
16th February 2012
‘Hachiko’ is our schools touring work for 2012 – so if you are in the Goldfields, Wheatbelt, South West, Great Southern or Southern metro regions please ring us – or ring your school to find out whether they have booked this truly beautiful… puppet show.
We are happy to send information to teachers or parent groups interested in us visiting your local school.
Based on a true story, Hachiko, tells the story of a dog who travels everyday to Shibuya train station (Tokyo) to meet his master. One day his master dies at work. Everyday for ten years Hachiko would arrive at the train station at the exact time the train was due waiting for his master to return.
This moving story about loyalty and resilience will celebrate the remarkable joy an animal can bring.
While it sounds sad – it will be a humorous and inventive new work with loads of amazing puppetry.
We recommend this work for ages 4 and up.
