Production History

The Deep

Adapted from the book by Tim Winton

Alice and her family live by the sea. Every day her family goes down to the jetty for a swim. Mum and dad dive and make huge belly flops. KABOOM is the sound of her brothers doing bombies off the top rail. But Alice, who is not afraid of snakes or spiders, just watches from the rail. Alice is scared of the deep.

Even with all the encouragement in the world, Alice is scared to swim where the ocean turns from green to blue. But an unsuspecting swim with the local dolphins changes all of that.
