Riders
Masquerading amongst perfect strangers…
A delightfully surprising performance of mime and puppetry. The Riders are packed and ready to go. Ideal for any festival, celebration or corporate event.
Having performed to delighted audiences at the 20th UNIMA Congress and World Puppetry Festival and the National Surf Lifesaving carnival, the Riders entertain with a series of inspiring stories performed by bizarre masked creatures in disguise.
Riders capture the ebb and flow of time and how travelling transforms us. In Riders public and theatre spaces converge through subtle interactions with spectators and surprising worlds that emerge from suitcases. With each journey and each suitcase another story unfolds.
Directed by mask and puppetry artist Deborah Hunt from Puerto Rico, Riders is a collaborative project between Edith Cowan University’s Contemporary Performance students’ and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre
Who knows what will happen when these enchanted characters with their precious baggage choose to turn up at your event. It promises to thrill!
