Operations Officer

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is seeking a full-time Operations Officer to join our dedicated team in Fremantle.

The Operations Officer is responsible for driving the company’s day-to-day administration as well as ticketing / front of house and program delivery for the company’s School of Puppetry and Regional Schools Touring programs. This is a dynamic and multi-faceted role within a small, busy team.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and organised, have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to problem solve and manage their time effectively.

An understanding of the arts and/or education sector is preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Strong and confident communicator with well developed interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in ticketing and/of front of house operations
  • Experience in scheduling and/or managing projects
  • Capacity to work autonomously, manage deadlines and show initiative
  • Financial management skills
  • Computer skills and experience with highly developed skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in the arts or education sector (preferred, not essential)
  • Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence – Manual (preferred, not essential)

Salary: $47,000 – $52,000 per annum.

Hours: Thirty-eight (38) hours per weeks between the hours of 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Saturday in consultation with the Executive Producer.

Organisational Relationship: Reports to the Executive Producer.

Production and Technical Officer 

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is a Fremantle based theatre company looking to employ an experienced Production and Technical Officer in a full time capacity for projects commencing in April 2017.

The successful applicant should possess the following essential skills and experience:

  • Production operation – lighting and sound (computer system)
  • Scheduling and planning
  • Tour management
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Stage Management experience
  • Computer skills
  • Drivers License

Salary: $55,000 – $59,000 p.a. + touring allowances where appropriate.

Our volunteers are our most valued supporters and are vital part of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. Currently we are looking to expand our volunteer community for 2017 and we would love for you to be apart of it. We are opening our doors to people who want to volunteer some of their time to assist us in bringing fun-filled and loveable shows to the public that the whole family will enjoy.

Our volunteer team’s duties include meeting and greeting our audience members on their arrival, ushering our in-theatre productions and they are often the first point of contact for most patrons.
